Speak Up for Community Parks

Mecklenburg County Parks are YOUR Parks. They deserve your support. You can help by letting us know what’s most important to you. Share your ideas for creating new parks and tell your elected officials how important neighborhood parks are to you.

‘Open spaces,’ ‘Inviting Places,’ ‘Natural Areas in the City’ are a few of the subjects we heard repeatedly during our recent comprehensive plan public engagement in the month of March. I am sure we will continue to hear about this as we move into the next phase of mapping growth scenarios for our community. As Peter Kayegama (www.fortheloveofcities.com) likes to put it, “parks are the healthy lungs” of a community.
